When I first started residency, I realized that I let A LOT of things go. It seemed like I was always at the hospital, always attempting to read, and if I did have spare time all I ever felt like doing was sleeping! I never was a big mall person, probably because I hated browsing through clothes, waiting in line, rude sales reps, etc. but if you don't shop, then you'll never have anything to wear. . . if you don't have anything to wear it really isn't fun to go anywhere, if it isn't fun to go anywhere then. . . well you catch my drift.
A friend of my introduced me to SaleMail. It is a website that allows you to select the stores/designers that you like, your clothing/shoe size, and presto, it sends you weekly emails updating you on great deals and sales from your favorite designers and stores! You already know your size, so why not shop a little. Now, it really doesn't matter if your residency is in the middle of nowhere USA or if you are in Chicago. No more fighting traffic or facing the fact that there are no good malls around you. Did I mention the sales are great? Go ahead, shop a little :)
